Ingredients
- 500g (4 cups) of fresh strawberries
- 80ml (⅓ cup) of dark maple syrup, for its robust taste
- juice and zest of 1 lime
- 60ml (2 tbsp) of water
Method
- Wash and remove green leaves of the strawberries. Place strawberries onto a cooking pan and in the freezer for 4 hours. Transfer into a airtight container and leave in the fridge, until you’re ready to prepare the sorbet.
- Add frozen strawberries, dark maple syrup, juice and zest of lime to a food processor and blend for 5 minutes. Scrape down the edges a few times with a spatula and add water if the consistency is too tick.
- When the texture is smooth (and there’s no fruit pieces left), transfer to a container and place in the freezer for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture. Serve into jars or bowls.
